Years ago, a farmer found a painted copper panel discarded in the forest.
His henhouse was leaking like a stuck pig. So, he threw the copper panel in the back of his truck. He lugged it home. Then, he hammered it to the roof of his coop to shelter his chickens from the rain.
A month or so later, the farmer read a story in the local paper about stolen art turning up in the area. Putting two and two together, he tore up his makeshift shingle and turned it into the authorities.
